Yamuna unlikely to show visible water quality difference before 2023, a report by DPCC says

New Delhi: A new report by Delhi Pollution Control Committee(DPCC) showed that it is unlikely that Yamuna will have a major difference in the water quality before 2023 with most timelines to complete sewage trapping projects and sewage treatment plants(STPs).

Presently Delhi has 35STPs which has a combined capacity of 2715million litres per day MLD and the capital generating 3273MLD of sewage. This results in a gap in the treatment capacity of around 559MLD, as the report says.
