Sero survey in Kerala casts uncertainty in school reopening

Thiruvananthapuram: The seroprevalence survey held in the state among children shows that the presence of the antibody is only around 30%.

The survey was held among kids of the age group of 5-17. The vaccination is not open for this category. It means only 30 percent of the children of this category are so far affected by Covid-19.

A total of 1,520 samples were collected for the study. The report will be discussed in the Covid-19 review meeting at 3.30 PM on Saturday. It may force the state to relook into the current strategy for reopening schools.
