Schools and colleges in Telangana to reopen on September 1

Hyderabad:

The State government on Monday decided to reopen all the educational institutions including Anganwadi schools, that were closed due to the second wave of Covid.

The decision to reopen the schools was taken in a meeting chaired by Chief Minister KCR attended by state education minister Sabitha Indra Reddy, minister Errabelli Dayakar Rao, Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar and other higher officials.

The decision was taken after considering the reports that the continuous closure of educational institutions was causing psychological issues among students

During the meeting, the Chief Minister informed that the officials will take the responsibility of sanitation in government schools and colleges and Municipal and Panchayat Raj departments will make sure that the institutions are sanitized on or before August 30.
