Kerala Government has brought up a new strategy for Covid-19 protocols allowing shops to open on all weekdays except Sunday. The Sunday lockdown will be lifted on August 15 and 22, being Independence day and Onam.
People who have received at least one dose of the Covid-19 vaccine will be allowed to visit shops. People who have a Covid negative RTPCR certificate or having recovered from the disease a month before will be exempted. The same will apply to banks/ banking institutions, government/ private offices, commercial centres and tourism destinations.
Places that have test positivity of more than 1% will have lockdown regulations as per the new guidelines. This will be based on the population density of the place compared to the infected persons.
