Mi-35 helicopter gifted by India to Afghan forces was seized by the Taliban

New Delhi:  Taliban seized Mi-35 helicopter gifted by India to Afghanistan Airforce after capturing control over the airport at Kunduz. The helicopter, which was seized, was one of the four attacking helicopters supplied by India.
Defence analyst Joseph Dempsey recently posted a picture that clearly shows the Taliban cadres standing next to the helicopter. He also posted satellite images to confirm the location.
From the close examination of images, it is clearly shown that the rotor blades and some engines were removed from the copter.
It is speculated that the Afghan force removed the parts anticipating the defeat of to Taliban forces.
The mi-35 helicopter was supplied in 2019 to the Afghan Airforce as a replacement for four attacking copters supplied in 2015.
