Mandatory vaccination certificates order lifted

Thiruvananthapuram:

Kerala Government is easing its orders for mandatory Covid vaccination certificates or RTPCR negative certificate for visiting shops. Even though the health minister has said the legislative assembly that guidelines will be strictly implemented, widespread public protests and confusions has made government to rethink.

District collectors has issued orders to SPs that social distancing rules are to be strictly followed. The Supreme Court had earlier criticised the state for allowing relaxations in places where Covid-19 test results are high.

The state is experiencing rapid increase in Covid-19 cases, having highest number of Covid cases in the country.
