Lakhimpuri Kheri: Navjot Singh Sidhu ends hunger strike

Lakhimpur Kheri (UP): Punjab Congress chief Navjot Singh Sidhu on Saturday ended his hunger protest, after the son of MoS Home Ajay Mishra Teni, Ashish Mishra appeared before the Crime Branch in the Lakhimpur Kheri deaths case.

Sidhu on Friday had sat onahunger strike at the residence of deceased journalist Raman Kashyap in Lakhimpur Kheri. The journalist lost his life while covering farmers protest in Lakhimpur Kheri which later turned out into a clash claiming the lives of 8, including four farmers. Sidhu had vowed that he would not end the hunger strike until action would be taken against Ajay Mishra Teni’s son Ashish.

“Justice Delayed – Justice Denied … With a family of brave heart Lovepreet Singh (20), a victim of brutal murders by Union Minister’s son,” Sidhu had tweeted.
