Emotional Aryan Khan tells court: Trust me, I won’t leave country

Mumbai (Maharashtra): The Esplanade Court on Friday began hearing the bail pleas of Aryan Khan, Arbaaz Merchant and Munmun Dhamecha, in connection with their arrests following raids by the Narcotics Control Bureau(NCB) in cruise ship off the Mumbai coast. In an emotional appeal to court, Aryan said, “I am Indian. My parents are Indian and living in India. I have Indian passport. I am co-operating with the authority. There is no question that I will leave the country.”

A fierce argument is on in court between Aryan’s lawyer Maneshinde and NCB lawyer over the bail application. The NCB is seen vociferously opposing the bail plea on various grounds.

Last day, he was sent to judicial custody by the Magistrate court. Earlier on Monday, Mumbai’s Killa court had extended the custodial remand of Bollywood actor Shahrukh Khan’s son and two other accused to October 7 in connection with the drugs-on-cruise case. The trio’s custodial remand with the NCB ended on October 4.
