COVID-19:Government reinstates night curfew in Kerala

Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has reinstated night curfew(10pm to 6am) and weekend lockdown from Saturday. He stated that it is necessary as the COVID-19 numbers are rising in Kerala.

Pinarayi Vijayan said that the COVID-19 numbers are rising after Onam and he has asked Kerala to brace for a third wave. He said that the health facilities have been expanded and now the emphasis is being given on preventing deaths. Lockdown will be imposed in localities with WIPR seven.

He asked Kerala to cooperate with the restrictions as the Delta variant has created huge and government has to save the State from going back to the worst days of pandemic.
