Afghan journalists show brutalised bodies after Taliban thrash them for covering Kabul protests

Two Afghan journalists who were arrested for covering the women protest in Kabul on Monday were brutally thrashed by Taliban. Photographs have emerged showing two Afghan journalists covered in injuries from beaten mercilessly.

In a tweet, American journalist Marcus Yam shared a photo of the two journalists showing blood clots all over their bodies. Yam wrote, “Painful. Afghan journalists from Nemat Naqdi & Taqi Daryabi display wounds sustained from Taliban torture & beating while in custody after they were arrested for reporting on a women’s rally in Kabul.”
